nothing better to do

I took Maxx to Petsmart and spent a good $30. I went to work before that to pick up my check, and reviewed the schedule. Diana was there, and she asked me if I had told John when I plan on ending my work for the summer. I told her my plans for working in to September, so I can have some extra money for school. She was thrilled to hear about that, and she told me that John will more or less give me extra hours. I have to make sure I remember to bring my letter tomorrow when I go to work. I also have to review my class schedule.

At Petsmart, Maxx got a ton of attention. The minute we walked through the door, this mother and her two children asked if they could pet him. I didn't make it even a whole foot until another lady wanted to pet him. This woman and her special needs daughter spent a good 10 minutes playing with Maxx. I think they're from the Humane Society or something, because the mom mentioned something about checking the cats, and they were cleaning their cages. Her daughter was so happy to be playing with Maxx, and Maxx was clearly having the time of his life. It was so cute to watch the two of them playing. The same mother and two children wanted to play again. This guy hanging around waiting for his dog to finish gettinga hair cut played with Maxx. He told me he was hiding in the aisles, because his poodle was getting groomed. He was afraid that his dog would spot him, start to fidgit, and mess up the groomer. I saw the poodle, it was the standard sized breed. It was so cute. I also saw a black lab retriever going in for a hair cut. The poor thing was so frightened, that it tried to squat and hold its weight down. Unfortunately it failed, and was being dragged to the back shaking. Its owner tried to lift it up, but failed. I couldn't help but laugh, because Maxx is the same way. The one thing I heard the entire time we were there was that Maxx is the sweetest dog they've ever seen. While looking at the carriers, I saw a dog stroller. I have to remember to tell my mom. I told my dad, and he inquired as to how much it is. It's $75, but I have coupons! So it'll only be $60. We're thinking about getting him that when we go to NYC next month, otherwise it'll be a pet hotel for him. My only concern is the places we're going. The city won't be bad, but we have this joke about how he gets "flat tires" after walking for how long. Plus it'll be really crowded. When we go visit Father Jack, I doubt they'll let him in. When we visit my family, I don't think they'll let him in. There's also the issue of finding a pet friend hotel. We're planning on staying in the Springhill Suites like we always do, but I don't think they allow pets. I just talked to Tommy right now, and he said that an overnight stay for Maxx would be about $35 or less. That's not too bad, so I think it would be best. I just saw the amenities they offer, and it's a nice room. They have a tv, they get blankets, cots so they don't sleep on the floor, regular meals, snacks, play time. The only issue with this boy is that he's picky about his food. I'm going to have to make chicken ahead of time, and instruct them to shred it for him. I'm sure he'll eat his dry food when he hears the other dogs barking.

So for dinner I had vegetarian corn. Lots of vegetarian corn. HAHAHAHA! It was really good.
